In April 2025, a significant step was taken to ensure the highest standards of governance and accountability. The former Director General of Health, Social Care, and Early Years, along with the NHS Wales Chief Executive, commissioned an independent review of NWSSP's arrangements. This review aimed to identify areas for improvement and strengthen the partnership's governance framework.
